The 2023-2024 Annual Ceremony of NVC International Concludes with Success!

On March 8, 2024, NVC International held its 2023-2024 Annual Ceremony in Zhuhai, China, themed "Embracing Growth, Propelling Innovation: Growth-Minded, Forward-Thinking." Ms. Eva Chan, Vice Chairman and CEO of NVC International, extended a warm invitation to numerous board members and senior executives from overseas divisions to join hands with members from the China region in this grand celebration.

The year 2023 continued to be marked by global upheavals and uncertainties, from the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic to escalating geopolitical conflicts and ongoing challenges posed by climate change. In the face of these adversities, the entire team at NVC International demonstrated a spirit of resilience and unwavering courage. Under the visionary leadership of our Chairman, Mr. Tony Wang, the group achieved remarkable results, overcoming challenges such as high inventory levels and elevated shipping costs left from the pandemic, and braving the post-pandemic economic winter. The group's teams were adept at keen market insights and timely responses to market demands. Internally, barriers between departments were dismantled, exemplified by the finance team actively engaging in business decision-making, pre-assessing costs and risks to ensure every step taken by the group was on solid ground.

Innovating and Transforming Challenges | Chairman's Opening Address

The ceremony was initiated with an opening speech by Mr. Tony Wang, Chairman of NVC International. 

Reflecting on the group's journey over the past year, he highlighted the necessity for an export-oriented enterprise like NVC International to keep pace with the times. This year, our focus will be on three major innovations: business model innovation, management innovation, and product innovation. He also expressed his gratitude towards all employees of NVC International and shared that in the upcoming year, our emphasis will be on delivering customer value and efficient operations, championing both technology and art to enhance product value, swiftly establishing brand, channel, and scale advantages. We are committed to accelerating corporate transformation through decisive and sustainable actions to elevate the group's industry position, making NVC International a globally efficient manufacturing enterprise powered by innovation-driven branding. We will continue to create value for our customers, employees, shareholders, and society by centering our business around organizational resources.

Focusing on Growth, Moving Forward Innovatively | 2024 NVCI TALK

The 2024 season of NVCI TALK brought fresh perspectives and insights. 

This season, Ms. Eva Chan, CEO and Vice Chairman, along with Ms. Grace Yang, Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Kelly Xie, Vice President of New Business Development, Mr. Oasis Chen, General Manager of the Manufacturing Center and Chairman of Shanghai Arcata Electronics Co., Ltd., and Mr. Moritsune, CEO of NVC Lighting Japan, continued the tradition of the executive roundtable discussions, sharing their thoughts and experiences.

Ms. Chan initiated the discussions by acknowledging the contributions of women on this special day dedicated to them, and reflecting on the collective efforts in 2023 that led to overcoming challenges of high inventory and shipping costs due to the pandemic. As we focus on growth for the 2024 reboot, continued innovation will be key. This includes restructuring for a more streamlined and innovative management model, entering a new phase of product platforming, diversifying our customer model, and enhancing communication and resource efficiency through a unified global collaboration platform. Our goal remains to further establish our brand as a comprehensive global entity, with collaborative efforts propelling us forward.

Ms. Grace Yang, who joined NVC International in September 2023, shared her experiences of familiar faces in an unfamiliar setting, emphasizing the blend of known leadership and similar manufacturing backgrounds with the novelty of product lines and industry dynamics. She expressed her desire to identify and amplify the most efficient methods and valuable growth points together with the team, contributing to meaningful progress in our innovative journey through 2024.

Mr. Oasis Chen, who recently returned from a business trip to the Vietnam factory, shared his optimistic outlook for the facility's future and the insights gained from understanding the local business and workforce conditions. He stressed the importance of adapting management strategies to ensure the Vietnam factory's competitiveness, mirroring the success of the Zhuhai facility, and emphasized enhancing the entire foundation's management to build a more competitive production base in 2024.

Ms. Kelly Xie, appointed as Vice President of New Business Development in December 2023, reflected on her career transition and the insights gained from her sales and operations experience. She highlighted the importance of identifying synergies between different business areas to enhance efficiency and meet customer needs, fostering continuous business growth.

Mr. Moritsune, CEO of NVC Lighting Japan, was commended for leading the Japanese team and the Kakegawa factory to remarkable achievements despite economic downturns and currency depreciation in 2023. Under the leadership of Chairman Tony Wang  and CEO Ms. Eva Chan, the Japan team adapted product strategies towards higher value-added products to increase profitability. With Hitachi's withdrawal from the B2C market, increasing market share became a top priority for the Japanese team, who successfully launched new products in collaboration with the Zhuhai team, securing orders during challenging times. He expressed hope for even better performance from the Japanese team in the coming year.

In 2023, NVC International's dedicated team achieved commendable results through hard work and overcoming challenges. The ceremony recognized outstanding teams and individuals with awards such as "Business Contribution Award," "Special Contribution Award," "Outstanding Team," "NVC Star," "Excellence Star," and "Quality Craftsman." These awards not only acknowledged individual efforts but also celebrated the collective achievements of the entire team in areas such as business development, innovative practices, and teamwork, contributing significantly to the company's rise and setting inspiring examples for all.

Joyful Performances, Exciting Prize Draws | Entertainment and Surprise Lottery

The gala dinner featured eagerly anticipated performances and a lottery draw, with various departments such as the Manufacturing Center, NVC International Research Institute, Marketing, and Finance presenting a diverse array of captivating performances that showcased the vibrancy and spirit of the different teams.

The highlight of the evening was the lottery draw, with a total of 106 prizes up for grabs. The lucky winners were drawn by several senior executives through a live lottery system, with multiple bonus rounds adding to the excitement and reaching a climactic atmosphere.

With cheers and applause, the NVC International 2023-2024 Annual Ceremony came to a successful close. The event was not only a celebration of the past year's achievements but also a display of confidence and hope for the future.
